We, as Undergraduate Members of women's fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity live, in harmony with its best possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities.
We, as Fraternity Women, stand for service through the development of character inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live. |
Panhellenic Recruitment Code of Ethics
We, as Undergraduate Members of the Panhellenic Council of Santa Clara, CA strive to promote a positive image of Greek life and exemplify the highest ideals of womanly character. We, as fraternity women, pledge to always maintain a positive and neutral “Go-Greek” attitude, encouraging the recruitment process. We will strive to be women of integrity, fostering harmonious and mature relationships between the chapters and chapter members. We vow to read, promote, and obey the Recruitment Rules at all times and deal with any infractions of the Recruitment Rules in a timely, fair, and professional manner.
We, as a Panhellenic Council, strive to work together to set a positive example for potential members; exhibiting positive attitudes and actions in all of our recruitment efforts. We respect the potential new member's right to make her own choices, including the right not to choose to join the Greek system. We support the goals of recruitment as being the following: to give each potential new member maximum opportunity to pledge; to provide fraternity experience to as many interested women as possible; and to maintain adequate strength in the fraternity chapters. We also agree to disaffiliate all selected Recruitment Counselors, not using them in any way as a liaison to prospective members or to the advantage of an individual sorority. We agree not to use men or alcohol in any way during formal recruitment. Most of all, we agree to act in true Panhellenic spirit throughout the Recruitment process. |
