Membership in a sorority begins with a process of mutual selection traditionally known as “Rush” now called "Formal Membership Recruitment" or just "Recruitment".  Recruitment allows interested women to take a glance at sorority life, giving a firsthand look at what sisterhood is all about.  Formal Membership Recruitment occurs during the fall quarter and consists of three (3) sets of parties - each with their own theme. 

Formal Membership Recruitment occurs during the fall quarter.  The Panhellenic Council provides a Recruitment_Counselor_(RC) for every women going through Formal Membership Recruitment. These Recruitment Counselors are collegiate women who are members of one of the women's fraternities. However, these women have given up affiliation with their chapter during the Recruitment period to be an unbiased advisor and counselor for the women assigned to their RC group.

Prior to Formal Membership Recruitment, the Panhellenic Council will offer several opportunities for interested women to take tours of the Chapter Houses and will hold a Recruitment Information Session.
